SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:

Examine and analyze financial information;
Present findings (written and verbal) to senior management and Directors;
Support business profitability and growth through findings and recommendations;
Prepare month-end and year-end reports, balance sheets;
Cash flow management;
Analyze current accounting systems, making suggestions for enhancements where needed;
Ensure the business follows all required legislation;
Prepare and submit VAT returns;
Liaise with external auditors;
Budgeting & forecasting;
Reconciling accounts;
Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data;
Examining financial records to check for accuracy;
Managing and training staff when necessary;
Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices;
Develop strategic plans for setting up shared services center for assigned finance/accounting activities;
Identify and implement process and system improvements to increase overall efficiency and accuracy in SSC;
Lead Projects/Initiatives across the shared Services organization;
Lead Fuel reporting project.

Requirements:

Higher education degree in Accounting;
5 years of experience in accounting/finance role;
Strong knowledge of tax law and labor law;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
Proficiency in 1C ver.8.3;
Exceptional organizational skills;
Attention to details;
Strong sense of responsibility;
Fluency in spoken and written Romanian/Russian/English.
